Frequently Asked Questions
Welcome to my official FAQ page for Cappi Tattoo. Whether you're looking to get a bold traditional piece from me, commission custom artwork, or pick up some of my merch, you'll find answers to my most common questions below.
Booking & Appointments
You can book an appointment by reaching out to me directly through my website contact form. Alternatively you can contact me via instagram or email.
Please include a description of your idea, your preferred placement and a size estimate. If you have any reference images please email them to cappitattoo@gmail.com.
Do you require a deposit?
Yes. I require a non-refundable deposit to secure your date and time. This deposit goes toward the final cost of your tattoo (or your final session if it’s a multi-session piece) and covers my drawing and prep time. The deposit is usually £50 for smaller sessions and £100 for larger sessions.
What is your cancellation or rescheduling policy?
I require at least 48 hours notice if you need to reschedule your appointment. If you cancel outright or fail to show up, your deposit will be forfeited, and I will require a new deposit to re-book you.
Tattoos & Styles
I primarily specialise in bold American Traditional tattooing. I love bold lines, solid blacks, rich primary colours, and designs built to last a lifetime. That being said, I am comfortable tattooing most styles, if you have an idea and would like to reach out please don't be shy!
Do you do custom designs or only flash?
I do both! I love tattooing classic flash straight off my sheet as well as drawing custom pieces tailored specifically to your ideas. All of my flash is also completely customisable. I can tattoo it in black and grey or full colour, just ask!
Can I bring my own design?
You can bring reference material or inspiration, but in many cases I will redraw it to be custom for you and so it translates well to skin and ages gracefully.
How much do your tattoos cost?
My minimum charge is £80. Custom tattoos are typically quoted by the piece based on size, placement, design complexity, and detail. For larger custom projects or multi-session tattoos, I offer a Full Day Session for £600 (covering approximately 6 hours of tattooing). Day sessions can also be used to get a few smaller pieces in a single sitting, making it the most cost-effective way to get multiple tattoos done at once.
What payment methods do you accept?
I accept cash and electronic bank transfer. Please ensure you bring the cash with you to your appointment or make sure your transfer limit covers the cost of the tattoo.
Preparing for Your Appointment
How should I prepare for my session with you?
Get a good night's sleep: Rest up so your body is ready.
Don't drink alcohol: Avoid excessive alcohol consumption for at least 24 hours prior to your tattoo.
Eat a solid meal: Make sure you eat something substantial 1–2 hours before your appointment to keep your blood sugar stable.
Stay hydrated: Drink plenty of water leading up to your session.
Bring Snacks: Bring some easy to eat snacks such as sweets keep your blood sugar up and a drink to stay hydrated.
Wear appropriate clothing: Choose loose, comfortable clothing that gives access to the area being tattooed without exposing more than you're comfortable with. Avoid wearing expensive clothes that you wouldn't want stray ink on.
Medications and Medical Conditions: Please consult your doctor before booking your appointment if you are taking any medications or have any medical conditions. Get their advice on whether it is safe for you to have a tattoo.
Can I bring guests with me?
To keep my studio environment safe, focused, and comfortable for everyone, I kindly ask that you limit the number of guests you bring to one person if you feel it necessary. Please ensure that they behave in a non disruptive manner.
Age & Legal Requirements
By UK law (The Tattooing of Minors Act 1969), you must be 18 years or older to get a tattoo. Parental consent does not allow minors to get tattooed.
Do I need to bring ID?
Yes! Please bring a valid government-issued photo ID (such as a Passport or Driving Licence) to your appointment with me. If I feel that you look under 25, I will ask to see your ID.
Where can I buy your merch and shirts?
In addition to my tattoos, I release exclusive tattooer-designed apparel, shirts, and merchandise. I usually sell this at tattoo conventions or online. Keep an eye out on my Instagram to stay up to date.
